Gilbert “Gib” E. Shilts

Gilbert “Gib” Shilts – St. Francis. Entered eternal Life December 7,2021, age 94 years with his daughters by his side holding his hands. He will forever walk hand in hand with the love of his life Marlys (Drana). The married on September 26, 1953, enjoyed 64 yrs together. Gib is the loving father of Kathleen (Mark) Hochshild, Jeanne Shilts, proud grandfather of Lisa (Destiney, fiancée) Hochshild, Sara (Ryan) Hartig, adored great grandfather of Emily and Madelyn Hartig. Further survived brother-in-law John (LuAnn) Drana and sister-in-law Kay Wozniak. Preceded in death by his best friend and loving wife Marti, Parents Richard and Mathilda (Flynn) Shilts, Sister Ardetta (Larry) Kampa, Brother Richard (Beatrice) Shilts, Special niece Judy McQuillian, Brother-in-law Joseph (Joan) Drana. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to thank Jeff Baranek PA-C for his many years of caring for Dad and keeping him with us for as long as possible. St Lukes Medical Center Tower twelfth floor staff for their excellent care and Zilber Hospice for providing a peaceful passing.

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus 3635 South Kinnickinnic Avenue, St. Francis, Wisconsin on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, military honors following services.
