Mama, you finally earned your wings and are with Papa now. It was a long journey, but you showed what a tough cookie you were and were always gracious, gave everyone a smile, and said thank you everytime I visited and called. We thank God for all of the terrific Vitas hospice personnel that were with her every step of her 4 1/2 year journey. Especially Karen her volunteer who was like a daughter to her, Terry her CNA who made her smile, Nurses Tammy, Jeremy, social worker Kristy, Chaplain Deb and so many more. I enjoyed sharing devotions and prayers every day with you, and you and God taught me patience in waiting for His timing. Also thanks to Elizabeth Residence staff, super cooks Chris and Connie, nurse Lori, Lovely in Admin, Kailee, Chris, Michelle, Latrisse and so many more. You respected my mom and provided loving care. I'll miss our television watching the Food Channel, but I know you were called to heaven to bake Christmas cookies! Keep the Faith - the best is yet to come! Love, your daughter Suzette

When I first met Gladdie she was at Ruth Hospice. She would always watch the news first and then The Food Channel was on the rest of the day. I went into her room while watching the Food Channel, I would get so hungry, so much that I thought I should bring a sandwich on my next visit. It became a joke between me and the nurses - that we need to eat before visiting Gladdie. She is the loveliest person I have ever known. I am so glad she is with her "Jack" now. Even though we mourn of our loss....she filled a gaping hole on this earth, that never can be filled. She doesn't have any pain now and I can still feel her in my heart
