Following Service

Gloria Jean Oatis did not have an easy life, yet it was a good one. Her transition and passing were peaceful in the home that she loved. She was surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren, other family members and friends who all love her. She was love-bombed and embraced with prayers and singing until her departure.Continue Reading

So sorry to hear she passed but glad she was with family. I lost touch once Covid hit and our book club disbanded. She was the first person I met when I started my career at Center Street Library and was definitely an inspiration.

“….lift me up to the Heaven of Holiness, oh Source of my Being, and by the breezes of eternity, gladden me, oh Thou who art my God; let Thine everlasting melodies breath tranquility upon me, and let the riches of Thine ancient countenance deliver me from all else except Thee, oh my Master; and let the tidings of the revelation of Thine incorruptible essence, bring me joy, oh Thou who art the most manifest of the manifest, the most hidden of the hidden!” - Baha’u’allah

To daughter-in-law, Robin, to Angie and Glenda and rest of the family, I send my deepest sympathies for the loss of Gloria in this life. Posting a photo of our visit together to the Baha'i Center in Nashville,TN several years ago. We shared a long history together from the time she took in my son Andre as one of her own when I had to send him and his brother home from our pioneer post in 1985.
