Age 89, born in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Theodore and Ethel (née Kaetterhenry) Knutson. He was a staff sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean War and worked for 42 years as a machinist at P&H Harnischfeger, retiring in 1993. He loved polka music, game shows, going to casinos, breakfast with the gang at George Webb’s and Twinkies. He loved his family and was the most supportive and generous dad.
Survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Phyllis (née Gust); children Robert (Diane), Cheryl, Diana (Jeffrey) Reynolds and Jeffrey (Sandra); grandchildren Edward (Stephanie Rhoades) and Jaime (Steve) Davidson; great-grandchildren Glen and Miles Davidson; step-grandchildren Michael Olsen and Samantha Bishop; and step-great-grandchildren Kayla, Lila, Liam and Emery.
Also survived by siblings James (the late Geraldine), Ruth (Sonny) Ress, Gloria Newmier, Anita (Elmer) Seehafer and Bonnie (Dave) Schultz and sisters-in-law Carol Knutson and Martha Schmidt and their families.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Richard (and his wife Agnes) and Dennis; sister Delores (and her husband Hilary) Gossen, brothers-in-law James Newmier and John Snell and sister-in-law Geraldine Knutson.
In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held.
