Gretchen was one of those "happy heart" folks who left us all in a better place. When I was 14-15 and renting at Crystal Lake, Gretchen (and Joyce G) reached out and welcomed me. Consequently I spent quite a few fun nights hanging out with the group and learning to water ski during the day. I will always recall their friendliness, which has been incorporated into my fondest Crystal Lake memories.
