Cherished father of Christine (husband David) Nolan and Larry (wife Nancy) Redlich. Proud grandpa of Jared Nolan, Lauren Redlich, Kara Nolan, Jonathan Duncan, Lisa Redlich (fiancé Gardner Waterman,) Kelsey Nolan/Plecki (husband Dan,) Elizabeth Duncan, Alec Redlich and Jaime Sissel. Father-in-law of Tom Duncan (wife Rita) with whom he kept a special relationship after Carol’s death.
Harold was born December 29, 1927, to Reinhold and Alarta Redlich. He was the youngest of five siblings. He is survived by sister Esther Engl and joined brothers Arnold, Leonard and sister Dorothy in heaven. He graduated from Milwaukee Boy’s Tech High School in 1945. After a short time of military service in the US Army, he took an apprenticeship with Chain Belt Company (now Rexnord) where he spent his entire work career. He and Patricia were married on September 23, 1950. For over 70 years as husband and wife, they enjoyed the good times and persevered through the hard times, providing an example of a God centered marriage for their family. After retiring he enjoyed golfing, vacations with Patricia and being a grandpa. Bike rides to McDonald’s with grandpa are legendary with the grandchildren.
Harold confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in the grace of eternal life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, his redeemer. He was an attender and member of Bethel Tabernacle (now Poplar Creek Church) from his childhood until his advancing age made it too difficult to go to church.
