Of Lynn. MA, was taken to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Hill House Assisted Living in Bath, ME. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, John G., in 2003.

Born on August 23, 1919, in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Otto and Frieda Raasch. Hazel was in her 100th year. She lived in Hales Corners, WI and was a member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church until 1963 when they moved to Boston, MA where she was a member of First Lutheran Church for 45 years.

Hazel is survived by her 4 children: Sandra (Ken) Hammel, Bonnie Magistrelli, Constance Magistrelli, and J. David (Diana) Magistrelli. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was reunited in heaven with her granddaughter, Kija Koplien.

Visitation at the Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM, with a service at 7:00 PM, presided over by Pastor Douglas Schroeder of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Interment will be on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield.

Wishing your family much peace at this time. We are blessed to know Sandy and Ken through our church Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. We never had the opportunity to meet Hazel but We can see a lot of Hazel through Sandy. It’s amazing how much they resemble one another :-) From everything We’ve heard about Hazel, she sounded like the ultimate example of a Godly woman, and We’re am grateful to have heard stories about her and we know she is in the presence of the Lord exactly where she is meant to be at this time. She lived an incredibly full and long life. May the memories sustain you at this time & until you all meet again, find laughter and smile with the blessed memories!
