Survived by her 3 precious sons, Chris (Lesa), Andrew (Kathryn), and William (Crystal). Adoring grandmother of Patti, Kristin, Peter, Stephanie, Andrea, Rachel, and Paul. Loving great-grandmother of Mathew, Katie, Lucas, Amanda, Alexandra, Erik, Megan and Amanda. Also survived by sisters, Jean (Gov. Patrick) Lucey, Georgia (Richard) Schneider and Sofia Zacharias; sisters-in-law, numerous relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Magdalene Vlasis, and brothers George, Nicholas, James, Chris and Paul Vlasis. Helen came to America from Greece at 7 years old, and treasured this country and its boundless opportunity. She did volunteer work for the Red Cross for many years, and enrolled at MATC and Marquette University at age 55, receiving her degree in Chemistry. She worked as a laboratory technician for several private doctors and the St. Francis Hospital. Above all, she loved her church and her family. Visitation at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 9400 W. Congress Street, Friday, August 8, 10:30-11AM. Funeral service at 11AM. Rev. Father James Dokos officiating. Burial Pinelawn. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
