DEEPAK UDANI left a message on January 11, 2018:
We are very sorry to hear this sad news. He was a very humble and soft spoken person. It was always nice to talk to him. I learned a lot from him about how Udani family tree was created by his father. He was also very helpful in providing the details about my father's childhood when I was composing a small book in his memory. We lost one of our senior udani pillar in the USA.

I have fond memories of my neighbor Indu Udani, a quiet, gentle man of great intelligence and friendliness. He was a wonderful husband to Hansa and father to Ashish. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Reminds me of my long conversation with Indubhai during the recent celebration of his grandson’s (Shreyans) graduation party, during which he revealed to me of reserving two tickets for my family to join in with him and Induben to celebrate a special event where delegates from India were to present Mahatma Gandhi’s Indian freedom related experiences and their thoughts. My regret is that I could not grace his kind gesture for I had guests visiting on the same weekend. Also, for various other reasons I could not join him for a treat of South Indian dishes at a restaurant in Brookfield but we certainly had great family dinner meetings where we could share stories of how we begsn our life as immigrants in the USA through bit of hardships of which our US born children and grandchildren will have very little clue. Rest In Peace my friend -me assuring that you will always have a special place in my heart!
