I never really knew Jac that well personally. I'm a friend of Kate's and only had a couple conversations with Jac through those years. I remember that I told him some 15 or 16 years ago that I was going to major in history. He told me to always remember that history is written by the winners of the wars and to keep that in mind when trying to have a real grasp for interpreting sources of information. Still to this day extremely significant in how I percieve and filter information. Thanks for those moments of your life Jac.

My heart felt feelings and prayers go out to Amerell Family! I was also a part of the cardinal dynasty! Yes dynasty, every Glendale kid wanted to play for coach Amerell. He would pull up in that black van, change into his skinny jeans and put on the blue windbreaker with the 6 championship patches up and down the sleeves. I was honored when he yelled to to me to help set up the yellow cannon!!! or invited the team over to the house to take batting practice on the spring loaded pitching machine. Coach Amerell was tough, but fair! At 10 years old, he yelled a lot at me, at 12 years old and I was bigger than him, he would usually ask me, then yell! I called it the Lou Sanicola rule. Big enough to carry the yellow cannon alone! Every time I pass through Merrill, WI and see the hotel our all star team stayed at 41 years ago!, when we played for the Midwest Championship, I still can taste the pancakes feel the excitement that Coach Amerell brought to all of us! Especially when coach Jackie came along! Thank you coach Amerell! You had a huge positive influence on my life!!
