Jack Snavely, longtime music professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at age 94.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoEllen; 2 sons, Jeffrey (Melissa) of Alexandria, VA, and Joel (Andrea) of New Berlin, WI, and 4 grandchildren; Jolie, Evan, Clark and Henry.
He will be remembered fondly by many colleagues, students and Milwaukee musician friends.
His family is at peace in the knowledge that he is absent from the body and present with the Lord.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
