James “Jim” G. Megal entered Heaven on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at age 86.  Beloved husband of Lorraine for 62 years.  Loving father of Kurt and Karen (Daniel) LaFond. Proud grandfather of Brady and Luke Megal and Eric and Sarah (Richard) LaFond.

Survived by brothers Larry (Annette) Megal and Carl Megal, sisters Mary Ann Ryczek, Violet Repinski, and Anita Jacowski.  Beloved brother-in-law of Howard Stencil, Danny and Darlene Stencil and Clifford and Joyce Stencil.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jim worked a long career at Harley Davidson and retired in 1997 when he took over the job of doting Grandpa.  He was very proud of his grandchildren, who were the joy of his life.  Jim loved going to his cottage that he and Lorraine have owned for nearly 60 years.  He loved fishing and playing cribbage or solitaire. Jim will always be remembered for his joyful spirit. His kindness and care for the people he loved was unwavering. Despite his declining health late in life, he approached each challenge with great faith and perseverance. He found peace in God’s plan for him and will be forever missed by everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, 2322 South 106^th Street, West Allis, Wisconsin on Friday, March 24^th at 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Noon.
