


































































































































Jim passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021, at the age of 68. Loving and devoted husband of Teri (nee Carerros). Jim and Teri met shortly after he was discharged from the Army. They were married on February 10, 1979, (42 years). Jim was the proud father of Justin (Agnes), Jessica (Zachary) Reed, and “papa” to five grandchildren – Emma and Ethan Salas, twins Abraham and Asher Reed and younger brother, Lucas Reed. Jim’s children and grandchildren brought great joy to him and were the love of his life!
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan Salas, and his brother, Tony. Older brother of Christine (Russ) Bales and Ricky Salas. Also loved by many nieces and nephews, Aunt Jean who is the twin sister of his mother, additional aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
After graduating from Boys Tech, Jim enlisted in the Army for a four-year tour during the Vietnam War. He successfully completed the Airborne Course and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. After an honorable discharge from the Army, Jim went back to school to earn a degree in computer programming. After several years, Jim made a career change, working with SharePoint. He enjoyed lifting weights.
Over the past three years, Jim faced several major health issues – strokes, end stage renal disease, arteriosclerosis, and an abdominal aortic aneurysm. On January 29, 2021, Jim experienced a cardiac arrest. He valiantly fought through all these health issues. He passed away due to cardiac failure after a surgical procedure. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Froedtert & Medical College and the Fresenius Dialysis Clinic in Brookfield for all of the sacrificial and loving care they provided to Jim.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Falls Baptist Church, N69W12703 Appleton Avenue, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Visitation is from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM. Service is from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM. There will be a procession following the service to Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon, where Jim will be buried with military honors.
The family is rejoicing in knowing that they will see Jim again in Heaven!
