Gone too soon, she was the cherished wife of Gary Brensinger for 42 years, loving mother to Amanda (Matt) Brensinger and Joe (Beth) Brensinger, adoring grandma/mima to Chase, Tyler, Parker, Easton, Natalie, Jackson, and Benjamin. Beloved sister of Karen (Ira) Hansen and Ken (Candy) Krawczyk. Special Nani to Kira, Karl, and Kole. Devoted loving friend to many including her BFF, Suzanne, and hula sisters. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Janis grew up in West Allis and lived most of her life in her childhood home. She attended Jordan Lutheran and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1975. She waitressed at Big Boy, Villa Roma, and The Magic Fan. After waitressing, Janis spent over 30 years caring for children, friends, Squeaks, Cute Thing, Cuter Pie, and her babies; her 7 grandchildren. She was always ready to build Legos, race cars, play dress-up, play cards, read, play and watch soccer, go camping, and have sleepovers.
Besides her babies and family, Janis had many passions: reading, teaching Sunday School, going bumming, and Hawaiian dancing. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years, teaching many children about Jesus. She loved all things hula – the culture, the food, the music, and most of all the dances and her hula family. She loved living “Aloha”.
Janis will be deeply missed, but will forever be in our hearts.
Aloha, Janis, until we meet again.
A Hui Hou KaKou.
Hawaiian attire encouraged, but not required.
