I met Jeff in the mid 70's. He worked at Gessler Auto Body in Lannon then and I helped him out when he was installing a V-8 in his Vega. Always sad to hear when a fellow gearhead bites the dust. Stopped by his shop from time to time to share a Miller or two and hash out old times and new projects of which Jeff had many. Hadn't seen Jeff in last couple years and only today did I hear of his passing. I'm sure he's touring around up there on his favorite Harley-Davidson "bobber".

My sincere regrets and condolences to the Helmle Family and Friends of Jeff upon his passing. I knew Jeff growing up during our days at Wilbur Wright Jr. High and lived a few blocks from his home. I remember his father taking us up to Door County to go camping one year and many times spent at his home playing with "Hotwheel" cars.
