Jeffrey Jay Worman, of Brookfield, WI and formerly Elkhorn, WI, succeeded in finding peace over glioblastoma on Monday, November 13, 2023.
Jeff was born in Milwaukee on February 4, 1959, to Norville “Nick” and Ruth (nee Draeger) Worman. He was known throughout Wisconsin for his radio presence on WTPS and WFAQ as Deke Marler. As a hobby, he collected QSL cards from radio stations around the world. In print, he was a founding member of the Crazy Shepherd paper, now known as the Shepherd Express. As an avid cartoonist, his art appeared in the Los Angeles Post-Examiner and Baltimore Post-Examiner. Jeff spent 6 months working in fire safety in Antarctica in 2016, which he was always excited to talk about.
His greatest joy came from spending time in the outdoors cycling, kayaking, hiking, and many winter sports. Jeff was very proud of his completions of century rides.
His memory will live on with his sister Shari Framnes, nieces Sarah (Robin) Framnes-DeBoer and Kristal Framnes, former brother-in-law Joe Framnes, and many dear friends gained throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents.
