Jennifer A. Friess (nee Wolter), 73, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin passed away on November 6, 2022 after struggling with ovarian cancer for over four years. Beloved wife of James (Jim) Friess. Loving mother of Courtney Robertson, Mark Robertson, Jonathan (Mary Kate) Friess and Joshua (Jessica) Friess. Devoted nana of Kade, Liam, AJ, Lenna, Vivian and Fiona. Caring sister of Jayne (Dennis) Sweeney and Janis (Graham) Pendleton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, her sweet Maggie Mae and other family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Warren and Johnann (nee Learmont) Wolter and first husband William Robertson.

Jennifer was a registered nurse for over 40 years. She retired from Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, which was very dear to her heart.

Jennifer was enthusiastic about life. Golfing and yoga were favorite past times for Jennifer. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Family was important to her. She was selfless, generous, strong and tender-hearted, treating everyone she met with kindness. She will be dearly missed.

A special thanks to Dr. Denise Uyar and staff at Courage Clinic at Froedtert Hospital Clinical Cancer Center.

Jim, Please accept Diane and my condolences on the loss of your wife. I know she wanted to make thru Christmas. Though I didn't know her very well, she always greeted me with a smile and well wishes. We will miss her. Erv and Diane Stefan

Jennifer was such a light in this world. I truly enjoyed every conversation we had and will forever miss them. Anyone who knew Her was blessed. I wish I was able to attend today's visitation - unfortunately due to a medical issue I feel it was best to not attend. However My heart mind and spitit are there. My condolences to all of Jennifer's loved ones and to her and Jim's sweet Maggie !

I met Jennifer through our ovarian cancer luncheon group. She was always a pleasure to be with. I can still see her in one of her stylish poncho and broach combos! Her friendliness and spark will be missed in our group.

Our lives were blessed knowing Jennifer. Since early grade school, when this shining Scottish star entered our lives, we were touched by her kindness. She could say something to you, but add her Scottish accent and it was like talking to an Angel. Being a nurse allowed Jenn to help people deal with life’s medical challenges. She took the perfect career choice. She helped hundreds of people in her lifetime. I cannot imagine anyone better. It was her job, but it was her heart that reached out. Many of us high school classmates got to renew our friendships in Class Reunions. Jenn was a mainstay in corralling us for those short Reunion weekends. She unselfishly offered her house for us to organize the events. Those short short high school Reunions were magical. One could have spent years in the workplace, parented kids and retired, but regrouping after years brought back the innocence of our youth. The heartfelt handshakes and hugs was something we will never forget. We must thank Jenn for being one of the engines making those weekends possible. Sadly we say farewell. We will one day reunite in Heaven. All of us look forward to that glorious day. Until then, we remember your smile and your friendship. We all thank you, Jennifer, for blessing us with that friendship.. Until we meet in Heaven’s Reunion.. We love you. Bill Luebs. Whitnall HS ‘67.

I have been so blessed to have Jenn as my friend . We met in nursing school and I remember looking around our class and thinking I need a friend who is going through the same as I was - going back to school as an adult. I saw Jens kind eyes and her winning smile. I knew right then we would connect. She has enriched everyone’s lives she has touched and was an inspiration to all . I will miss her terribly but know she is now with out pain and is one of our heavenly angles watching over us. She was all about family and was so proud of her children, grandchildren and her husband Jim . She told me many times how blessed she was to have them in her life .

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

So sorry for your loss. Jennifer was a lovely kind, caring, hard worker who fought a brave battle to the end. We will be thinking of you all here in Dumfries on Tuesday and the days following. Barbara

Dear family of Jen, so very sad to hear this news, Jen played racquetball ladies doubles with me , what a wonderful person. Following her on face book I always was so amazed by her and her unrelenting courage. I remember when she met Jim, you were the love of her life! I will pray for your beautiful family and peace.
