Jim Murphy

Peacefully passed away on February 8, 2017 at age 81. James was born in Mineral Point, Wisconsin to Jack and Margaret Murphy. He graduated from Mineral Point High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. James worked as a CPA and a partner at a local accounting firm for nearly 50 years and served for 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed golfing, watching his beloved Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

James is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen Murphy; his two sons, Corey (Carrie) and Michael (Lee); three grandchildren Jimmy, Tony and Brooke; his sister Pat, cousins, nephews, nieces and many close friends.

The family of James Murphy also wishes to thank the Mission Creek Senior Community and Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care Center for their excellent care.

Visitation will be at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 18255 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Thursday, February 16, 2017, from 9:30 AM – 11:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.
