(Nee Pawlowski) Entered God’s loving arms, surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday January 3, 2019 at age 83. Loving mother of Colleen (John) Zuro-White and Anita (Mark) Payne. Devoted Busia of Maria, James, Noah, Sofia, Eric, John, and Ramona. Proud Godmother of Marian Straka, Dennis Sowinski, Jeffrey Raedel, Debbie Kontowicz, and Bruce Raedel. Sister of Eunice (Sylvan) Sowinski, Gloria (John) Webster, and Camille (Erwin) Mrozinski. Sister-in-law of Sylvia Pawlowski. Preceded in death by her husbands, Victor Sevilla and Roman Zuro; parents, Edmund and Joanna Pawlowski; and siblings, Sylvester Pawlowski, Dolores (Tony) Mostowic, Esther (Ray) Raedel, and Marion Pawlowski. “Auntie Joannie” was loved by many other relatives and friends.
Joan always lived by her strong Catholic faith. She was a survivor who did much to keep her daughters safe and happy. She embraced her Polish heritage and shared it with her family, especially during the holidays. Joan was known as the “Cheesecake Lady,” quick to share her treats to celebrate an occasion or support someone in need. She loved creating beautiful flower gardens while soaking up the sun. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Joan dealt with her many health issues with a smile on her face and wonderful sense of humor and playfulness.
