Passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on October 2, 2020, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife of 52 years, Terry (née McCotter), his proud and adoring children, Michael (Tamara), Amy (Paul), Matthew, and his grandson, Nathaniel, who gave him hope for the future. Dear brother to Richard (Colette) and Susan (Don); caring uncle to Andreya, Stephan, Katrina, and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his loving parents John and Doris (née Cook), extended family members, and close friends.
A kind and generous man, he was a longtime educator, mentor, innovator, visionary, and dreamer who inspired countless lives. He will be greatly missed by all.
Due to the current restrictions of COVID-19, the family plans to hold a celebration of John’s life next year.
To honor his legacy, contributions to the Wisconsin Parkinson’s Association (wiparkinson.org) would be greatly appreciated.
