My condolences to the family! I didn't know John really well but I did have the pleasure of playing golf with him quite a few times over the years, he was a true gentleman. I remember one of the first rounds I played at Merrill Hills many years ago was with John and I will never forget his welcoming and gracious nature to a new member.

We have lost a longtime, devoted, and faithful friend of forty-seven years. We will deeply miss our special times with John and Louise. John’s love of sports and our happy and fun excursions to Camp Randall and Lambeau. (John knew a quick way into and out of Green Bay on game days)! Our cherished memories of great dinners and wonderful conversations will forever keep John in our hearts. Louise, the boys, and their families have given God a precious gift - a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Sue and Denny McKnight

He was always walking through the subdivision and greeted you with a smile on his face. Such a gentle soul he was. Rest in peace John and our love and sympathy to Louise and the entire family.

John’s quiet, calm leadership enhanced our time at St. Thomas of Canterbury in so many ways (as did that of Louise), and we have treasured their friendship during and since. May John rest in peace and rise in glory, and may a merciful God comfort Louise, his sons, grandchildren, and many friends.
