John D. Ludwick, 81, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin passed away on November 3, 2022. Beloved husband of Marianne Ludwick (nee Daneluk) of 57 wonderful years. Loving father of Melissa (Paul) Alexander and Curt (Sarah) Ludwick. Devoted grandpa of Jackson, Hannah, Katie and Sophia. Caring brother of Peggy, Rebecca and Roberta. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
As a Kemper Scholar John received his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University and his MBA from Indiana University. He worked for Kemper Insurance, Chicago Title & Trust and MGIC. After retirement he fulfilled his dream of volunteering and traveling with Marianne.
John was enthusiastic about life. Tennis, hiking (especially the National Parks), biking and card playing were favorite past times for John. He could be described as a “Master Card Player”. For over 60 years he sung in various church choirs, the last of them being Community United Methodist Church choir. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. There was more laughter than eating at family dinners. He was selfless, generous and tender-hearted, treating everyone he met with kindness. He will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the food pantry at United Methodist Children’s Services where John volunteered numerous hours. It was a cause very dear and near to his heart.
