Of Brookfield, WI. Born on November 23, 1926 in Bonnya, Hungary. Called home to the Lord surrounded by his family, Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Age 90. Beloved husband of the late Martha (nee Mittelstadt) for 46 years. Loving father of Lori (Dan) Meiers and Evie (Jim) Bennett. Proud grandfather of Katie Bennett. Brother of Joseph Steller, Caroline Muth, Eva Toth, and Katie Dann. Beloved cousin of the late Katherine Petz. Also loved by other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Friday, November 24, 2017 9:00 AM -11:00 AM. Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment to follow.

John was a proud employee of P&H Harnischfeger for many years.

He was long time member at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. John was an avid gardener, enjoyed working outside and his long walks.
