John Lerch

Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2021, age 94. Beloved husband of the late Priscilla (nee Spade). Loving father of Veronica (Christopher) Huth and Matthew (Mary Jo) Lerch. Loving Grandpa of Marissa (Patrick) Moyles, Eric (Hannah) Huth, Ashley (Walker) Flannery, Brian (Jennifer) Lerch, and Lisa (Jake Fox) Lerch. Great-Grandpa of Emily, Max, Liam, Zachary, and Nathan Moyles, Catherine Huth, Brooke, and Taylor Flannery, and Johnathan Lerch. Also survived by his special friend, Loni Johann, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Mary, and his sister, Rose Bakos.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM. Funeral Service 3:00 PM. Private entombment at Holy Cross.

John was born in Tevel, Hungary. After WWII, in 1950, John came to Milwaukee where he worked for 36 years at Continental Can Company. John was an avid stamp collector. He enjoyed being a long-time member of the Schwabenhof in Menomonee Falls and the German Club in Sun City, Arizona, where he wintered.
