Joriah, Since you’ve been gone the world has been quieter. I miss the 4pm wave from you each day as you stopped by to say “have a night” and always beaming with pride as you shared the next great adventure Pheonix was embarking upon. You always had a story to tell, a random YouTube video to share, a smile & a wave. We enjoyed reminiscing about our times working at Club Forest, the modeling shenanigans we experienced in LA & NYC; our paths crossed many times over the years. I’m confident they will once more. Until then.

I met Joriah when he first started at Sanford and worked with him for the years he spent there. I'll always remember his wonderful smile and his unique sense of humor. He cracked us up on many occasions. Joriah will be dearly missed, not only by those of us who worked with him, but also by the many guests who enjoyed his stories that brought them laughter. He was much too young to leave us. Sweet sleep Joriah.

Joriah, it was your smile, kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others in need. You made me smile just by your silly posts about "What is Joriah eating." You my friend will not be forgotten. You will always put a smile on my face and in my heart.

This is about a unique individual that I have known all his life. You see my eldest daughter, was born 1/11/1975 & Joriah was born 7/22/1975. We did everything together with those two! I especially remember that he loved the old woman on the rocking chair in the streets of old Milwaukee which was part of the Milwaukee Museum, which we frequented often. On the other hand, my daughter hated that part & was so afraid of her! Over hot dogs in the cafeteria there was a bit of teasing! There are so many memories of Joriah that are all filled with love & for this I will wear a smile when I picture him @ 2years old with long curly hair & his Oshkosh bibbed overhalls on.Mostly, I will think of that old lady on the rocking chair. Cheers Joriah you will be greatly missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My sympathy to all of Joriah's family especially Phoenix. May you keep the memories alive of your dear dad, son, brother, and uncle. Joriah's gift was telling stories and making people laugh just by his smile. He was the first staff person I met at MDS when he had to train me on phones and computer use and he was always quick to respond to my needs and my "dumb" questions. Your presence will be missed.

I am so sorry for the loss of Joriah. I saw him at the Sanford annual picnic. I watched the YouTube video of him dancing. He moved like water. May God bless you and keep you.

Compassionate, caring, and carefree with a sense of humor that put a smile on everyone's face. To know Joriah was to love him. So many memories of a friendship that started around my first birthday party and grew into high school and beyond. Joriah made the world a better place and those who were fortunate enough to know him better people. Good bye, dear friend, but please know your friendship will never be forgotten and memories will always be cherished.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of Joriah. He was a really cool guy. So easy to talk to and he could always make me laugh. I worked with Joriah at EDI. A few years ago, our company had their annual food drive. A picture of Joriah was up for auction. I was the lucky winner. He autographed it for me and I still have it in a protective sleeve at home. I will cherish this picture always. Joriah, you will be in my thoughts and prayers everyday of my life. I remember a couple of years ago, I was Facebook messaging what I thought was one of my nieces and asked her "Would you be my power of attorney?" I put a cute sticker of My Little Kitty saying HI (thinking it was my niece). A little while later I received an answer "Sure only if you pick me up some lobsters" with smiley face attached. I had no idea that I was talking to Joriah. I was so embarrassed. The next day, he came to my desk and we just laughed and laughed. He made me feel so much better from feeling so embarrassed. I will miss you dear my friend. "Enjoy your custard".
