You are in our thoughts and prayers as you prepare to celebrate Joyce's life on Saturday. She had a long, rich life- we should all be so fortunate. One memory to share- when Terry and Nan had been dating only a few months, I somehow ended up at the Washechek' s for lunch ( I went to Carroll, so I was pretty much in the neighborhood already.) I'm not sure what brought me out there, but I met Joyce and had a nice lunch and conversation with her. I don't even remember if Nan was there. I now wonder if she was checking out Terry via me on the theory that friends are cut from the same cloth! In any event, her kindness to a college kid she didn't know from a bale of hay is how I shall fondly remember her. God Bless- Bruce and Sandy Deadman

I met Joyce when I and my husband, Jim, joined BCC in 1969. She encouraged me to join the choir and both Jim and I did so. Through the years we spent Thursday nights and Sunday mornings rehearsing together and became fast friends. Both she and Howard were loyal and beloved friends and I mourn her passing.
