June (nee Behnke) A. Keil was called home to the Lord Sunday, September 23, 2018. Age 88. Born 3/13/1930 to Herbert F. Behnke and Corabel Behnke, she was the devoted wife of Walter L. Keil for 52 years (married December 21, 1957). Loving mother of Douglas (Ping-Chih) Keil, Susan (James) Klopfenstein, and Sharon Keil. Proud grandmother of Amy (Weston) Marling, Heidi (Adam) Shroyer, and Anna Keil. Also survived by 4 great grandchildren, (Peter/David/Sarah Shroyer and Chase Marling) as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with Funeral Service 2:00 PM at Blessed Savior Lutheran Church, 15250 West Cleveland Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Graveside with funeral procession following.

A gifted artist, June received her MA in Art Education from UW-Madison and worked as an art teacher at various schools in Wisconsin. She enjoyed pursuing her artistic interests in painting, photography, drawing, and jewelry making. She was a long-term choir member of her beloved church, Blessed Savior Lutheran Church, and a member of the Milwaukee sorority Sigma-Lambda-Phi.
