Kathleen A. Merrell (Nee Blasewitz) was born on November 20, 1950 and passed on March 8, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Blasewitz, and father-in-law, Richard (Dick) Merrell.  Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Dave Merrell.  She is also survived by her father, Curtis Blasewitz, and mother-in-law, Shirley Merrell.

Kathy will be deeply missed by her siblings Diane Blasewitz (Todd Klug), David Blasewitz (Jessie) and Dale Blasewitz (Jeanne). She was a special aunt to Emilie, Benjamin, Tracy, Angela, Drew and Kyle.  Her great nephews and nieces will cherish her memory.

Kathy worked at Anthem Blue Cross for 45 years.  She enjoyed jazzercise, hiking, gardening, wildlife and time with friends and family.  She treasured her time with Dave at their cottage in Lac Du Flambeau.

Together Kathy and Dave had an adventurous spirit and traveled often to the West, Southwest, Mexico and took an Alaskan cruise.

Dave and her family would like to thank her many friends for their love and support throughout Kathy’s cancer journey.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Friday, April 13th, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
