Kathryn was born into eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday June 2nd at 3:15 AM-after a short battle with Colon cancer. She was 79 years old. Kathryn was married to the late Theodore Jeffery Salow but divorced. She is survived by her son Scott Rossi, his wife Natalie Rossi and her grandsons Dallas Johnson and Nicholas Rossi. Her beloved brother’s Thomas Trecker and James Trecker also survived her. In addition, she is survived by her friends Pat Trecker-Heffron, the wife of late brother Edgar Trecker, special and closest friend Lynn (Murf) Patmore and favorite cousin Aunt Buzzy. Finally, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews who all meant the world to her.
Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Kay attended St. Mary’s grade School in Elm Grove, Divine Savior High School in Milwaukee, and St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana. She met her husband Theodore Jeffery Salow at a social gathering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Later, after college, she settled in Elm Grove Wisconsin where she raised her son Scott Rossi. After that, she built a house in Brookfield, Wisconsin where she resided until her passing in June. She was a loving, devoted, and loyal sibling, thoughtful and fun friend, vibrant and full of life in society, and a consummate mother. She was beautiful, classy, smart, educated, compassionate, opionitated, and staunch in her views about politics, religion, current affairs and the Green Bay Packers. She was a competitive Cribbage, Bridge and Tennis player. She was a decorated and competitive equestrian, respected and professional employee, volunteer at Ethan Allen, lifeguard in her youth, great substitute teacher and loved to travel, camp, tend to her garden, and spend time with family, and friends socializing.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin 53072 is on Thursday June 7, 2018. The visitation is from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. It is followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin.
