Danka fur immer Katie. You were like a mother and took me in when my life was confused. Hansi was the best little brother I could ever want. We respected each other. He taught me how to eat french fries with mayo.

I will always remember spending Spring breaks with Aunt Katie and the many times she calmed me down when I was feuding with my Mom. She always made me feel welcome and I felt that her home was a second home for me!!

To Hansi, Ingrid, and Will. I am a more distant niece and cousin to Katie and Hansi. That does not negate the absolutely fondest memories I have of her. She was so loving and kind to my daughter, Suki, and I the very last time we saw her. She is loved and admired by many, including myself, and my only wish is that we had known each other better. She is a living testimony to the the power of a mother's love, a very positive influence, even in her passing. Facebook: SK William's Author Love and my deepest empathy for your loss of a wife and mother. And the gain we all have in knowing her will remain in our hearts, and our souls forever. Sincerely, Sue Williams

There are so many reasons to celebrate Aunt Katie's life. She was a very devoted mother to Hansi and like a mom to my own brothers, Jim, Mark, Tom, and Pat. She wanted to adopt me when I was 16, and, although it did not happen. and we did not keep in contact, I have always respected Aunt Katie's contributions to our lives.

We were blessed to share many happy days with Katie: her wedding with Werner, my own wedding to Jamie’s where she made the ladies dresses perfect, birthdays and graduation parties for her Lehman’s grandchildren, and most recently the wedding of John and Jordyn. For more than 20 years I have known her to have a smile on her face as big as her heart. We will miss you.

Our loving Aunt Katie, our second mother, and blessed caregiver for brothers Mark, Tom, Patrick, and myself. I know of no other as caring, loving, fun, and reaching out to help others help themselves. Thank you for your memories and blessings. May you rest in peace, and in God's hands forever. May God comfort Werner and our brother Hansi through such a difficult time. Jim & Gail, Matthew, Marie & Maxwell
