Passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Pamela, loving father of Danille (Tim) Britton, Thomas (Jessica), Nicholas (Timothy Bertucci), and Shannon Sawatzki. Proud grandfather of Shay Britton, Emily, Olivia, and Makenzie Sawatzki. Cherished brother of the late Nancy (Wayne) Baker. Son-in-law of Carol Neumann, brother-in-law of Sharleen, Wayne (Jeff Nierode), and Russell Neumann. Uncle to Michael Musgrove, Michael Coloso, and the late Mark Musgrove and Matthew Baker.
Ken was born August 4, 1951 to Edward and Eleanor (Waranka) Sawatzki. He attended Holy Redeemer and graduated from Messmer High School. After 19 years of employment at Milwaukee Electric Tool, Ken helped found Component Engineering in Hartford, Wisconsin and served as VP for 25 years before retiring.
Embracing his love of the outdoors, Ken was a true sportsman. Hunting and fishing with friends and family were some favorite activities. Ken’s competitive nature and athletic ability garnered a trove of awards from baseball to bowling. Always tuned into Bob Uecker, Ken was an avid Brewers fan and always looked forward to the next ball game.
He lived his life practicing his faith in all he did. Ken’s kindness, caring, acceptance, and helpfulness made him an outstanding example to us all. He leaves us with loving thoughts, happy memories, and tales to be retold.
Services to be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 12801 West Fairmount Avenue, Butler, Wisconsin. on October 17, 2020. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with mass to follow. Masks are required.
