Dear Destiny, I was sad to hear about the passing of your father. I worked with your mom many years ago and we have reconnected through Facebook. I remember seeing the beautiful pictures of you as a young child. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. It is so difficult to lose a parent. I want you to know that I am thinking about you and praying for you as you go through this loss. Rachel Schlueter

My heart is broken. no parent should have to lose a child and no Aunt should have to lose a niece or nephew. Now I have lost Beth and now Kirk. The Newton family should get a break, this is too much. I have wonderful memories of Kirk and all the cousins being silly and having so much fun together. The years go too fast. I am so glad he found Lisa and so sorry she had to lose him so soon. God works in mysterious ways. Aunt Jean will see you in heaven Kirk.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Newton. One of the best teachers and chess coaches that a student could have. Truly one of the best, may he rest in peace!

Kirk was the love of my life. His humor, twinkling eyes, humbleness, faith in God, love, patience, kind heart and presence will be forever missed. He was the light in my world. Everyday I would come home to hear new stories and knowing he was going to be there to enjoy time with made my work day pass easier. We enjoyed so many adventures together from Washington DC with his parents, to numerous trips to Florida (His favorite in Florida was the Florida Keys, so we went there twice!), Kentucky and camping and traveling around Wisconsin. He loved to fish and one day we were camping in the Kettle Moraine and fishing in the evening from a pier. There was an amazing sunset that I'll never forget. In Kentucky we rented a cute air B&B cottage and it was up on a hill overlooking a lake. There was a firepit, candles and comfy furniture out back with an overhang to protect from the rain. One night we were out there and the warm summer breeze was slightly blowing and a thunderstorm came through. The smell of fresh rain and watching the lighting light up the lake below us as we snuggled next to each other on the porch was an experience I will always treasure. We had a special love that not everyone finds in their lifetime and I'm grateful for the few years we enjoyed together. I love you Kirk and miss you terribly. I will always treasure the memories we shared.
