LaVerne Dolores Merritt, 100, passed away on September 19, 2021. Loving wife of the late Elmer D. Merritt. She is also preceded in death by her parents, William Jarchow and Elsa (nee Kirch) Leifer; son, Lee Merritt; brother Warren (Doris) Leifer and brother-in-law, Jack Evert. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (John) Kubiak; son, Lynn (Paula) Merritt; sister, Carol (nee Jarchow) Evert; grandchildren, Dale Merritt, Dean Merritt, Rosalie Kubiak, Lisa (Doug) Kobza, Julie Merritt, David (Joann) Marklund and Colleen Sterner; and 4 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Dana and Sara.
LaVerne was enthusiastic about life. Gardening, camping and traveling were some favorite past times for LaVerne. She was selfless, generous and tender-hearted, treating everyone she met with kindness and warmth. She will be missed by all.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM. Service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM, please meet and line up near the front office.
