Lenny was born in Milwaukee, WI. He attended John Marshall High School and then on to Milwaukee Area Technical College. He spent his entire working career in the grocery business. Lenny began as a bagger at the Red Owl before moving up thru the industry to become a district director in space management for Acosta Sales & Marketing, a nationwide food brokerage firm. Lenny spent 33+ years in the grocery industry and was well respected by his colleagues before retiring in 2018.
Lenny met the love of his life at the local “watering hole” where they enjoyed many laughs with friends. He married Susan Ganz on Aug. 25, 1984. They raised two wonderful children, Erin & Dustin, and built an amazing life together. Lenny was an avid Packers fan and spent Sundays watching football with Sue.
Lenny loved life and was always the life of any gathering. His family was the most important thing to him, especially his grandchildren, Victor and Lydia. He also loved music of any kind and was quite the music collector. Lenny enjoyed winters in Florida with Sue and friends that became his “winter family” and summers at the family cottage in Door County. His love, kindness and generosity will be missed by those people whose life he touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated in Leonard’s honor to Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin.
