December 29, 1923 – December 15, 2021
Lila Adeline Haines, 97, of Fletcher, Oklahoma and formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Fletcher. She was born December 29, 1923 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joseph Edward and Adeline Emma (Schulz) Fischer. Lila was raised and lived her entire life in Milwaukee until moving to Oklahoma in 2018 to be with her daughter and family. She was a lifetime active member of the Lutheran Church. She worked as a bookkeeper and timekeeper at Colart Industries in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married Donald Ward Haines in Evanston, Illinois on October 22, 1945.
Faith and family came first and foremost through out her life.. She was very committed to the Lord, and often spoke how truly blessed she felt, and did not deserve all His goodness. Always expressed interest in whatever was affecting her family and friends. Her amazing gift of the “listening ear ” made her a good confidant and consoler. She lived a life of serving and giving, visiting the sick, knitting caps and mittens for the homeless, make quilts and afghans for family and friends, sang in church choirs, worked on altar guilds, served on church councils, and so much more. She enjoyed her life. She loved and was loved by all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren
Lila is survived by her son, Jeffrey Dale and wife Carol (Cook) Haines, daughter Jane Adele Brantley and husband Eddie, five grand children, 17 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and other family members and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Dale Joseph Fischer and grandson, Daniel Joseph Haines.
The family would like to give Traditions Hospice their heart felt thanks for their tireless work in helping to care for Mrs. Haines.
