Lillie Beatrice Hurley entered into this world on February 09, 1952. Born to the union of Walter Hurley and Arliver Parker in Chicago, Illinois. She was one of seven children. Willie, Lee, W.C., Katie (Lynn), and Wanda Jean who preceded her in death.
Lillie received her formal education at John Marshall High School in Chicago, Illinois where she would meet some of her long-life best friends who would prove to be family. Lillie spent her childhood growing up alongside her siblings and nieces.
Lillie received the Lord at a young age and continued to live through the word of God. She later relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988 along with her children, Zachary, Antonio, and Tiffany. She had a love for culinary arts and received her technical certificate from HeartLove Place in Milwaukee, WI. She worked several jobs as a cook, caregiver, and general cleaner to support her family.
She later returned to her Christian values by attending Spirit Governed Baptist Church where she was an ordained Missionary and later on a Deaconess. Lillie continued to be an active member in the church and the community through her outreach services. She later went on to find her permanent church home at Unity House of Gospel Prayer of Milwaukee, WI where she served as a faithful member for ten years. Lillie had a spirit and presence that could light up any room and a “telling it like it is” personality that made her a riot to be around. Friends and family loved to be around Lillie as she provided a wealth a wisdom and laughter that would help others when faced with trials and tribulations. Lillie Hurley returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 02, 2021 and was welcomed with open arms by her earthly parents who preceded her in transition. Lillie leaves behind four children and two grandchildren; Zachary Pugh, Antonio (Cherese) Hurley, Tiffany C. Ford, Keenan T. Hurley, Keyarra Hurley, and Antonio Hurley Jr. She leaves one brother, Ronald Hurley of Covington, Georgia, one sister, Elder Patricia Johnson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and one special brother, Arnold C. Patton of Chicago Illinois, a very special sister, Phyllis Walker of Dallas, Texas and a host of family and friends.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
