Continue ReadingLoretta Hauenstein, age 98, passed away peacefully on Feb 2, 2022. Loretta was the daughter of John “Leo” and Evelyn Meysembourg and grew up in Rice Lake, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Hauenstein as well as nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister, Doris. Loretta is also survived by her two sons Jay (Ruth Ann) and Dean (Lisa) and Delmer’s children Buddy and Debra (Dave). She was a devoted grandmother to Ryan, Jarret, Jamie, and Andrew and great-grandmother to Nathan and Emilyn. She took tremendous pride in the accomplishments of those she loved. Loretta was a dedicated member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Brookfield since 1977 where served on many of their committees. She also volunteered her time at the Christian Science Nursing Home (Clearview). Loretta loved bowling and crafting and many of her weekends were spent traveling to craft fairs. She also loved polkas and was also an unwavering fan of the Packers and Badgers! She had been a member of the Ladies of Brown Deer, White Shrine, and Eastern Star and proudly served as a Worthy High Priestess. The family would like to thank the staff of Vitas Hospice and Elizabeth Residence for the care, compassion, and friendship they provided to Loretta.
Funeral services will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Visitation will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral at 10:30 AM.
All guests are kindly asked to wear a mask.
