I came to know this wonderful woman through my sister, her granddaughter Tomieko. I attended almost every family function you can name. I always remember her smiling & laughing. Although I'm not related by blood she never ever made me feel unwelcomed. She had a big heart and a kind spirit. When you lose someone there's no such thing as knowing the "right" thing to say to the loved ones left behind. Find comfort in knowing her suffering is over, you were blessed to have her in your life as a mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. My deepest condolences & sympathies are with you during this time. I pray each day your tears become fewer but you find peace and comfort in your memories of her. Rest in Heaven

The whole out fit is set out down to the jewelry and shoes, during her make up and styling her hair. She had a big heart for friends and Family. I love you Ms. Hawthorne you will be missed dearly. I will truly miss my mother. She taught me so much. I will miss spending time with her. Even in the end, she still managed to wave her hands to music. I will never forget spending those final moments. I love you mama.
