Hey family, It is with deep sorrow to know of your mother’s passing. She was a light in every room and her smile was unmatched! It is amazing to see her genius genes live on in her beautiful daughters. I am blessed to know your family and witness the gleaming example of how a strong woman and marriage can raise 3 young women to excel at life. I pray for you strength in dealing with this difficult time. Your mom will be missed. I love you guys and will be thinking of you all during this time.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the transition of Lynn. Not only was she a dearly cherished friend of my mothers as member of the Chosen, but was also a friend to me. She and her her husband were our pre-marital counselors. We often think back on the wisdom they shared with us at that time. Lynn was also a listening ear countless times throughout my adult life. I pray for comfort for Lee, her daughters, the rest of her family and all who loved her.

Isral DeBruin left a message on February 4, 2022:
I only knew Lynn a short time through the K-12 education Civic Action Team, but I was immediately struck by her passion for the Milwaukee community, and especially what's best for kids. Lynn was absolutely unafraid to call it exactly like she saw it -- something there's too little of in the Milwaukee education scene, where most people try to tiptoe around political faultlines. When Lynn saw or heard something that was morally offensive, she was morally offended, and made her moral offense clear to everyone present. Lynn's example has made me more thoughtful about when and how I might better use my voice in ways that hold people and institutions accountable for the ways they fail our city's children.
