Maria Hoefler (nee Kleiss)

Died peacefully on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, just shy of her 92nd birthday. Her son and daughter-in-law were at her side as she passed.

Proud and loving mother to Carl (Jan) and Mary. Proud Oma to Nicholas Hoefler, Max and Ava Chambers. Maria was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Max, her mother and father, Theresia and Stefan Kleiss, and sister Katie Thomzik.

Maria lit up a room wherever she went. Her baked goods were coveted from Wisconsin to the Rockies to the Pacific Ocean. Maria had an amazing life story, she often shared. Her faith strong, as was her character and compassion for others. She always had time for friends and family and never hesitated to lend a hand. She leaves behind to carry her light, many dear friends and family.

A very special THANK YOU to the caregivers & staff at Vista Pointe Assisted Living for their dedication and compassionate care of Maria.
