“Betty” Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 18, 2017. She was 85 years young and full of life and spunk until the end. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack LaSalle Grigg; parents, John and Tyyne Hautanen; sisters Ruth Butterfield and Jean Lund; brothers, Bill Hautanen and Donald Hautanen. She was a loving mother and is survived by her children, Jayne “Molly” (Brad) Bilberry and John Grigg. Proud grandma of Lea (Adam) Buttina, Lane Grigg and Jack Bilberry. Further survived by her dearest sisters; Sharon Pegararo, Lynn “Kris” (Steve) Dull. Truly treasured by her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins as the matriarch of the family. Betty was loved by all. A shout-out to her best friend Judy Churney and a special thank you to her former daughter in law Laura Grigg. Betty was born in Ironwood, Michigan of a proud Finnish heritage and made her home in the Milwaukee area. A retiree of a Local Union 139 Operating Engineers, where she was employed as an administrative assistant. She was a faithful member of West Granville Presbyterian Church for 50 years.
