So sorry to hear this news. I was friends with Mark's younger brother Marlon through our school years and have fond memories of Mark as a great older brother and role model when playing at the Mitchell family home. It has been many years since I have been in touch with the family but I want to pass on my sympathy and best healing wishes to Mark's entire family.

I had the pleasure of working with Mark for many years at various centers. He had previously worked with my mother and later my sister. He spoke so highly of his family and would often share stories of his daughters. He was my licensor but he was also a mentor. I learned a great deal about licensing from Mark. He was very patient in teaching. He could be a stickler but he wanted the best for children. I will remember his voice and smile and more importantly his stories of growing up in Milwaukee and of his girls while they were growing up. Aside from work, Mark reminded me what it was like to be a parent and in his very wise way- reminded me to enjoy the time with my own children while continually stating how fast it goes by. He often asked about my children and family while he caught me up on his. His wisdom and positivity will forever be missed. He was truly a pleasure to work with and I am honored to have been able to do so. May God continue to bless your family. You are in my prayers.

I met Mark while working at the YMCA. Mark would come for a camp visit and not only would he talked about rules & regulations he would tell his whole life story. From him growing up on Keefe Ave, his daughters going to Milestones as kids, and then how they went off to college lol there was never a dull moment with ole Markie Mark! Mark pushed me to open my own camp and now I have 2 businesses. He was a great motivator, teacher, and an awesome person. Mark will truly be missed and I appreciate every lesson learned even if it resulted in a fine. REST PEACEFULLY OLE MARKY MARK

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Mark’s passing. I worked with him for many years at the State of WI Dept of Children and Families where he was an active advocate for children and always ready without complaint to assist his supervisors and peers. Mark will be missed by his colleagues and the larger child care community. I offer my heartfelt sympathies and wish the family comfort in their memories.

I don’t have the words- we literally just saw & sat with you for hours! You said “ ok Jess, see you in the morning” But God sought differently. You have definitely left an amazing impression on us with your last encouraging words! and we’ll make you smile from above. To his brother( I’m sure of your name) but he always talked about how proud of you he was and how you attended a prestigious College! He would always say “ I come from a educated family, and I’m proud to say it!” To his daughter He just laughed and told us a story how he “butt dialed you” So many stories that would lead to hours of good company and conversation. He adored his family and talked about you all non-stop! Mr. Mark, We appreciate you! Rest Peacefully
