Martha “Marti” Todey

(Nee Helmer) Passed away November 5, 2017 at the age of 86. Loving mom of Debbie (Glenn) Pinkowski and Jim (Debbie). Dear step-mom and friend of Karen (the late Gary) Aaron. Fond grandma of Dawn (Darrin) Dauffenbach, Leslie (Jeremiah) Thomas, Brian Pinkowski, Alex and Samantha Todey. “Grandma Mattie” to Joe (Debbie) Aaron, Lisa (Mark) Mrozinski, Nancy (Ken) Jones, and Jeff (Maura Donohue) Aaron. Great-grandma of Aaron and Kaylynn Thomas, Crystal and Michael Aaron, Keara and Casey Jones, and Jenson and Isla Aaron. Also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents, Charles and Viola Helmer; brothers, Bob and Ronnie Helmer; and sister, Donna (Dick) Doll.

Marti was a long time resident of Deer Creek Senior Community in New Berlin. Special thanks to the nurses, aides and staff at Ascension Living Franciscan Place (formerly Franciscan Woods) and Seasons Hospice for the wonderful support and care during Marti’s stay.

A memorial gathering will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM. Followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, Ascension Living Franciscan Place, or Seasons Hospice.
