My dear wife, Mary Beth Day (Kurtz), passed away on December 27, 2022 due to complications from her bone marrow transplant earlier this year.
She was an amazing mother to Brooke (Brian) Brickler and Ryan (Jess) Day. She was Nana to Brayden and Cameron Brickler, Buddy Day and his brother to be born this March. She had unlimited love for Brooke, Brian, Ryan, Jess and the grandkids. She is further survived by her sister Kathy (Late Bill), brothers Mark (Ann) and David (Debbie) Kurtz, her sister-in-law Debbie (David) West, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary had two great passions: her family and being up at the lake outside Eagle River. Mary loved winter up there and was always delighted to be stuck in the house for a massive blizzard.
Mary and I are also blessed to have many dear friends. These people have not hesitated to offer their comfort and support before, during, and since her passing. I am truly grateful to all of you!
Lastly, I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to the amazing doctors and angel nurses within the Froedtert Hospital-Transplant teams. Their knowledge and extraordinary care made her journey easier for her and the family.
Because her celebration will take place this Spring, I ask that in lieu of flowers or memorial gifts that you donate to “bone marrow transplants” in honor of Mary Day, care of Froedtert Hospital Foundation, Attn: Office of Institutional Advancement, P.O. Box 26509, Milwaukee, WI 53226-0509.” Memorial gifts may also be made at www.froedtert.com/giving/foundation/make-a-gift. I will be matching whatever is contributed.
My thanks and gratitude go out to all, especially my family, for all the love you have given us.
Jeff Day, Husband, Always and Forever.
