Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, Tuesday, October 6, 2009, age 79. Joining his wife, Evelyn "Momma", surprising her on her first birthday in Heaven. Devoted father of Donna (Mark)Schampers, Darlene (Jim) Hying, Deborah (Bill) Prening and Mathias G. Wachal. "G-pa" of Sarah (Jose) Peters, Joseph, Mark Jr., Stephen (Alicia), David, Kevin (Jessica), Laura (Adli)Dohada, Bill Jr., Brian and Ann. Proud "Great-G-pa" of Brandon, Brian Jr., Azzam, Thomas and Makenzie. Further survived by other relatives and wonderful friends.Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, October 12, 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Vigil at 7:00 PM. Please meet at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 13 at 8:30 AM for a procession in which Mike will be escorted to Church in the Krause Motorcycle Hearse for additional visitation at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 9306 W. Beloit Rd., Milwaukee, 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00. Burial to follow at St. Matthias Cemetery.Mike enjoyed his life running Greenfield Motor Truck Service and C&W Trucking, with his partners Frank and Mary Candek. Mike and Evie owned and operated Auntie Evie's Orchard since 1976. In his free time he enjoyed their home in Eagle River. Most important was his family, friends and his pal, Brodie.
