Fought a courageous battle with Cognitive Multiple Sclerosis on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Age 57. Wonderful partner of Christine Lovinus for 28 years. Loving son of (the late Neil) and Irene Reuter. Dear brother of Linda (Douglas) Brockman, Christopher (Nancy) Reuter and Steven Reuter. Also loved by many other family and friends.

Matt was born in Frankfurt, Germany and grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin. A true gear-head who was good with his hands, Matt enjoyed driving semi-trucks and riding motorcycles for many years. Scenic routes were his favorite, especially in Montana. He went on to become the owner and operator of Matt Reuter Trucking for over 20 years. Matt resided in Dousman and enjoyed living in his country residence with Chris.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield on  Saturday, June 6, 2020, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Funeral Service at 6:00 PM. Due to social distancing limitations, the visitation is limited to 50 guests at a time. The Funeral Service will be limited to 50 guests total.

I knew Matt and Chris from growing up Brookfield/Elm Grove. Matt and I kind of ran in the same circle of friends. Matt had this big jacked up truck in high school that was an early generation of the gearhead monster trucks kids drive today. That truck was broke a lot . One of my most pronounced memories from those days and I have no idea why, was the random time I ended up in Matt's truck and he took my friend Eric and I down a long muddy trail off of river rd in Brookfield. At the end of the trail we got out of the truck and hopped in the back, sat on buckets, and proceeded to down a 12 pack that he had stashed back there...took about an hour...Random indeed. Great guy. Wish I would have kept in touch with him. My condolences to the entire Reuter family and friends.
