Nedra E. Fifer (nee Parker) Has been ushered Home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the age of 77. Nedra leaves behind her husband, Willie Fifer Jr, of 52 years, son Ronald E. Parker, daughter Shaunza L. Fifer-Gordon (Dontrell Gordon), and daughter-in-law Diana Parker. She will also be missed by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her two sons, Frederick G. Parker and Ryan L. Parker.
Nedra E. Fifer was born in Hot Springs Arkansas in 1944 to Elton P. Parker and Rosie A. Parker. Nedra was the 4th born child of 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys. Nedra attended St. Gabriel’s Catholic School where she found her love for God and accepted Christ at the age of 5. She was at St. Gabriel’s through the 5th grade. Throughout her adolescence and young adult years, she attended St. Marks AME. Later in life, she attended Liberty and Truth Ministries where she was a mother of the church and served on the Hospitality Ministry. At the age of 12, Nedra moved to Milwaukee, WI with her family. There she continued her education at Garfield Elementary and Lloyd Street Elementary School. She then attended Roosevelt Middle School. Nedra attended West Division and North Division High School where she graduated form the 12 grade with her high school diploma.
Nedra completed the Secretarial Science Certification program at MDT. Nedra began her career at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 1966 where she held the position as a Statics Clerk. She went on to work for St. Paul Insurance in 1968 where she remained a faithful and dedicated employee as she climbed the latter for the 27 years until she retires. She also assisted with several small contract jobs at other insurance companies throughout her career.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A prayer service will begin at 4:00 PM.
