Died of cancer on November 25, 2018, at the age of 67. Peggy was a long-time resident of Milwaukee after having been born and raised in Horicon, WI. She was employed as an accountant in the near suburbs of Milwaukee for 33 years before retiring in April of 2017. In addition to volunteering at her condo association, she launched a book club and belonged to another. She loved to travel and had been all over the world.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Schneider of Horicon. She is survived by two sisters, Jenny (Randy) Waller and Patricia (Robert Jr.) Bettler; two nephews, Daniel Steele III and Eric Steele; a niece, Tess Bettler; a grandnephew, Daniel Steele IV; two cats, Winston and Harry; and many friends and family members. Also survived by Mikiko Matsumoto, who lived with Peggy’s family as an AFS student in 1975-76 and who is considered a member of the family.
Memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society are appreciated. There will be no services and remains will be buried next to her family at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.
