Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at age 64. Beloved son of Sharleen (nee Haldemann) and the late Raymond Schmidt Jr. Loving partner of Nancy Kohl. I remember one day when we were picking up our dog, Sophie, and Ray and his crew were splitting wood. Ray came over and was so excited because he had gotten a new splitter. He told us all about it and he was smiling from ear to ear. He was so easy to talk to and outgoing. We didn’t know him well but it felt like we did. He will be missed. Rest In Peace.

Ray was always easy to talk to. He was upbeat, energetic and always smiling. He was very kind to our dogs. One of our dogs, Gracie the Weimaraner, loved to curl up in Ray's favorite chair, so we've been told. Apparently Ray never minded, and always welcomed Gracie.
