“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 I was fortunate to know Becky when her classroom was next to mine at Ronald E. McNair Elementary from 1984-1989. She was a wonderful woman and mentor. She came to my wedding! Thank you for being in my life, Becky. Lifting her family up in my prayers.
John & Kerry Tanner left a message on November 18, 2017:
Words are inadequate to describe the impact Becky had on Kerry and me. Her unequaled intelligence, humor, kindness and talent were obvious to all who were lucky enough to know her. But, there was something even more rare and profound that she shared with us: a calm understanding of what is truly important in life. She was a grounding force for us. In spite of the busyness of work, the endless demands at home and the many pleasures and pains that constantly assail us, she showed how to live with grace, quiet calm and dignity. Becky faced many hardships in her life. And yet somehow, through those experiences, she persevered, grew more loving and gracious in sharing her heart. Of utmost significance, in her presence there was no pretense - she had seen it all, lived through it all and come through it as a different kind of person. She was solidly and decidedly herself - grounded in faith and love. She was an example of how to live with acceptance of all that happens in life - the good and bad. She showed us how to take it all in and become better, more giving, more supportive and understanding people. We are blessed to have had Becky in our lives. We are different people for having known her. We will always hold her in our hearts and continually strive to live the openhearted life she exemplified so well. We love you, Becky.

My condolences goes out to the family of Ms. Ross. You all are definitely in my prayers. When I think about Ms. Ross, I think about the legacy she imparted in so many before transitioning. She was by far one of the BEST teachers I've ever came in contact with. She was one of the individuals who was very instrumental in shaping me into the teacher I am today. Her constant love, encouragement, passion, and never giving up spirit is undeniable. I thank God often for her. Her legacy is still living, empowering, and working full force. This jewel will truly be missed!

My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and the family Naekomi. It's hard to know what to say at these times, but know that I and my family are praying for you. I am so grateful that we all had time to laugh and the Lord allowed me to experience and capture in my heart and mind her beautiful smile one last time before bringing her home. I will forever be thankful for having her in my life. May God keep you and the family in His perfect peace. I love you!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To my beloved Sister-in-Law and Family. My love for mom was precious. Mom knew the lord and she knows in her heart that God has put a hedge of protection around you. For God is saying fear thou not for I am with thee. Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen thee. Yea I will help thee. Yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. To the Ross family my prayers and sympathies are with you in the loss of your mother and grandmother, sometimes a person will inter into your life and you don't know how special they are until you get to know them. Then you realized how blessed you are to have known them. That is exactly how I feel. Mrs Ross will always have a special place in my heart she had one of the most beautiful smiles that I've ever seen and when you look up in the sky and the stars are Shining, those Stars is her smile, smiling on you .you all have that smile she has passed it on to you so never stop smiling I will deeply miss my special friend Teresa

My heart goes out to Naekomi and all the family of Ms. Ross. Ms. Ross was ALWAYS loving and those who she connected with, she had no problem accepting them as part of the family. She always worked hard to make sure that her family’s needs were met. I have seen her sacrifice a lot to make sure her family, biological and adopted was taken care of. She loved God with all her heart and always made sure He was the center everything she did. Not to mention one of the baddest piano/vocal coach on this side of heaven I am honored that she loved me enough to give me confidence to sing more and to help with her family when they were smaller. She will be greatly missed. I know that those who she left behind will continue to carry her legacy on! Naekomi I am proud and encouraged by you for taking care of your mom, and the kids like you did. You are truly the container of your moms strength. Love you all and I am ALWAYS praying for and with you!
